Yas Mall evacuation: Abu Dhabi govt issues statement; what is happening now?

Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi had been evacuated earlier in the day after an alarm went off, according to Abu Dhabi government. There was an immediate scare among people as they saw the area being cordoned off by police.

Ferrari World and part of Yas Island were also shut, there is no word about when they will reopen.

Earlier this morning an alarm went off in Yas Mall and we asked customers and staff to temporarily vacate the premises. The Mall is now open and we apologise for any inconvenience.

Abu Dhabi government has issued an official statement saying that the Yas Mall is now open.
