Union Budget covers aspirations of salaried class, other sections: Goa CM

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday hailed the Union Budget for 2023-24, saying it covers aspirations of different sections of society, including the salaried class, and conveys the message of development for all and effort of all.
Presenting the Union Budget in the Lok Sabha, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman raised the personal income tax rebate limit, doled out sops on small savings and announced one of the biggest hikes in capital spending in the past decade.
The CM termed the budget as pro-people and maintained it carries forward the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sawant tweeted, “This budget resonates with the aim ''Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas'' (together with all, development for all, the trust of all and effort of all). I congratulate Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman ji for presenting the people's budget taking ahead the vision of PM @NarendraModi Ji.” The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said the budget lays emphasis on start-ups as well as the manufacturing sector.
“It has covered the aspirations of farmers, marginalised sector, youth, MSMEs, OBCs, women, entrepreneurs, salaried class and also laid great emphasis on green growth, start-ups as well as local manufacturing sectors,” he said.
