BJP Chief Criticizes Himachal Pradesh Government’s Anti-People Policies

Himachal Pradesh BJP chief Rajiv Bindal on Wednesday criticized the state's Congress government for its 'anti-people' decisions, describing them as the 'achievements' of the Congress party since its formation. Speaking to the media, Bindal challenged the Congress to prove its power by serving the public rather than stripping away their rights.

Bindal specifically pointed to the abolition of the 125-unit electricity subsidy for income taxpayers, despite the Congress's election manifesto promise to provide 300 free units of power. He alleged that the government has instead taken away the 125 units of free power previously given to the people of Himachal Pradesh.

Furthermore, Bindal claimed that development in the state has stalled over the past 18 months and criticized the closure of more than 1500 institutions, including educational and health facilities. He also took aim at the increased costs of diesel and petrol, which he said have added to the financial burden on everyday citizens.
