Germany must adapt its spending policy to respond to global developments and adjust spending for international humanitarian aid, Finance Minister Christian Lindner said on Wednesday.

Speaking at a news conference in Berlin, Lindner emphasized that the balance is shifting, noting that Germany has significant investments to make in its 'hard security'.

He added that Germany, despite being the world's fourth-largest economy, cannot continue extensive global involvement indefinitely due to economic constraints.
