Peter Navarro, a staunch ally of former President Donald Trump, made his first public appearance following his release from a federal prison in Miami on Wednesday morning.
Addressing a cheering crowd of Republican supporters, Navarro declared that despite his imprisonment, he remains unbroken – and so does Trump. “This morning, I walked out of federal prison. If they can come for me, if they can come for Donald Trump, be careful. They will come for you,” he warned amidst thunderous applause at the Republican National Convention.
Navarro revealed that the January 6 committee pressured him to betray Trump but he refused, resulting in his conviction and imprisonment. “Here's the thing about the Constitution. They demanded that I break the law because they have no respect for it. I refused, and a Democrat majority in the House then voted to hold me in contempt,” he said.
