Kewal Singh Pathania Assumes Role as Deputy Chief Whip: A Journey of Dedication and Service

Kewal Singh Pathania, the Congress MLA from Shahpur assembly seat, officially assumed his role as the party's deputy chief whip on Thursday. Pathania reaffirmed his commitment to the people of his state and the objectives of his party.

Pathania, who has been active in politics since 1987, declared that he would work collaboratively with his colleagues to achieve the party's goals and contribute to the overall development of the state. He emphasized the importance of the chief whip's task to enforce the whipping system, ensuring that party legislators attend and vote as per the leadership's direction.

A first-time legislator, Pathania's political career spans roles such as a member of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation and vice chairman of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation. He has also served in various capacities within NSUI and the Congress Party across multiple states. Besides politics, Pathania has a passion for sports, having captained the state hockey team and represented Himachal Pradesh at the national level five times.
