U.S. envoy Amos Hochstein expressed optimism on Wednesday regarding the possibility of averting a war between Israel and Lebanon's militant group Hezbollah.

During a news conference following his meeting with Lebanese parliament speaker Nabih Berri, a key ally of Hezbollah, Hochstein addressed questions about the potential for conflict.
