Lok Sabha Speaker and Kota MP Om Birla expressed his deep concern about the detrimental effects of climate change during a tree plantation event on Wednesday. As part of the 'Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam' campaign, Birla announced plans to plant 11 lakh trees in the Kota and Bundi districts.
Speaking at a public event at Guru Gobind Singh Park in Vallabhbari, Birla highlighted the importance of taking immediate and sincere action to mitigate climate change impacts for both present and future generations.
Birla drew parallels between nurturing a tree and raising a child, emphasizing cultural and environmental responsibilities. He commended the people of Indore for their dedication to environmental causes and concluded his one-day visit to his hometown before heading back to Delhi.
