CM Yogi Adityanath’s Directives for Kanwar Yatra Preparations

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday directed officials to welcome kanwariyas with refreshments like shikanji and shower flower petals on them during significant occasions, as per a statement issued on Wednesday. The CM provided these instructions while reviewing preparations for the Kanwar Yatra, which commences on July 22.

Adityanath stressed the importance of setting up assistance camps along the Yatra route to respect the faith of the devotees and to aid the general public. He also called for the distribution of cold drinking water and shikanji. Moreover, the CM instructed officials to use drones for monitoring the Yatra route.

The CM mandated that the PWD and Irrigation and Urban Development departments complete road repairs on the Kanwar route within the next 72 hours. He emphasized strict adherence to cleanliness, solid waste management, and lighting arrangements including the installation of additional street lights and transformers. He also mentioned that the volume of DJ music systems should not exceed the set limit and demanded the immediate removal of dead animals from the Ganga canal.
