In a tragic incident at Kaziranga National Park, Assam, a forest guard was killed, and another was injured following a rhinoceros attack during routine patrolling in the Kohora range, according to a senior official from the forest department.
The attack took place near the Bardalani camp on Sunday morning. The rhino's sudden aggression towards the patrolling guards resulted in the death of Sahabuddin, aged 54, with his colleague Ramen Bora sustaining injuries.
This tragedy underscores the hazards faced by park staff in their line of duty, prompting discussions on the safety measures in place for forest personnel.
