Angel City has achieved the status of the world's most valuable professional women's sports team following a landmark ownership agreement with Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger and his wife, Willow Bay. The Los Angeles-based club made the announcement on Wednesday.
Iger and Bay, who is the dean of the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, will assume controlling ownership from Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. The deal boosts the club's valuation to an impressive $250 million.
