On the eve of India's Asia Cup opener against Pakistan, Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur stressed the need for a positive atmosphere within the team. She highlighted that creating a comfortable environment where players feel happy and supported significantly enhances on-field performance.
Kaur told Star Sports that fostering good relationships and mutual support among teammates is crucial. "A positive atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable sharing their thoughts can greatly impact our performance," she said. As the defending champions, India is set to begin their campaign for a record eighth title in Dambulla on Friday.
India has recently enjoyed considerable success, including a 3-0 ODI series win against South Africa and a successful tour of Bangladesh. These achievements form a vital part of their preparation for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in Bangladesh this October. India's Women's Asia Cup squad includes notable players like Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, and Deepti Sharma, among others.
