In an electrifying display of skill and determination, Hockey Jharkhand trounced Assam Hockey 13-0 in the women's category at the 2nd Hockey India Junior Men & Women East Zone Championship on Wednesday. Young talent Roshni Aind led the charge with a hat-trick, scoring in the 24th, 32nd, and 33rd minutes.
The team’s captain, Rajni Kerketta, added to the tally with goals in the 11th and 27th minutes, supported by impressive performances from Barwa Purnima, Mundu Sukarmani, and others. It was a goal fest at the Netaji Subhas Eastern Centre with contributions from nearly every team member.
Meanwhile, in another standout match, the Hockey Association of Odisha overpowered Hockey Bihar 11-0, with Kachhap Rimjhim netting four goals. On the men's side, Hockey Jharkhand continued the winning streak by crushing Hockey Bihar 9-0, and Hockey Bengal secured a solid 5-1 victory over Assam Hockey.
