Hockey Haryana, Uttar Pradesh Secure Wins in Sub Junior North Zone Championship

The third day of the 2nd Hockey India Sub Junior Men and Women North Zone Championship 2024 saw Hockey Haryana and Uttar Pradesh secure victories in the men's category at Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium, Jhansi.

Hockey Haryana clashed with Hockey Uttarakhand in the day’s opening match, winning 2-1. Sachin and Tushar scored for Haryana, while Sarthak Mahar netted a goal for Uttarakhand. Tushar's late goal from a penalty corner ensured Haryana's win.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh dominated Hockey Punjab in the final match of the men's category on Tuesday, routing them 9-1. The finals of the championship are slated for July 22. Competing teams include Hockey Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi, and Jammu and Kashmir.
