Three-time world champion Quan Hongchan of China clinched gold in the women's 10-meter platform at the Paris Olympics, successfully defending her title from the Tokyo Games. Her first dive scored a perfect 10 from all seven judges and set off wild cheers from Chinese fans.
Chen Yuxi of China took silver, mirroring their Tokyo Olympics finish. North Korea's Kim Mi Rae secured bronze, adding to her earlier silver medal in the 10-meter synchronized event—North Korea's first-ever Olympic diving medal.
Quan's total score was 425.60 points across five dives, followed by Chen with 420.70 and Kim with 372.10. China's dominance in diving continues, having won five of the eight diving golds so far in the Games.
