Indian Golfers Shine in Paris Olympic Women's Golf

Indian golfers Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar are currently tied for 14th place in the 60-player field after completing two rounds in the women's golf competition at the Paris Olympics. Both athletes have shown resilience and determination, setting their sights on improving their standings in the remaining rounds.

Aditi Ashok played a commendable 1-under 71 after a first-round 72, while Diksha Dagar remained even at 72 following a 71 on her first day. Both golfers are sitting at 1-under par for 36 holes. Aditi had an impressive stretch of four consecutive birdies from holes six to nine, despite some setbacks, while Diksha demonstrated strength but faltered on the last hole with a double bogey.

Swiss golfer Morgane Metraux lit up the course with an astonishing 8-under 28 on the front nine, which included two eagles and four birdies, placing her at the top of the leaderboard at 8-under overall. Kiwi golfer Lydia Ko, aiming to become the first player to win medals in three consecutive Olympic Games, is also in contention. Both Aditi and Diksha are motivated and planning to be more aggressive in the final rounds to clinch a medal.
