Aditi Ashok, who narrowly missed a medal three years ago in Tokyo, showcased her best performance on the final day of the Olympic women's golf competition by making seven birdies, finishing tied-29th on Saturday.
She shot a 4-under 68 among 60 players at the challenging Le Golf National, tallying 2-over 290 over four rounds, short of her 15-under in Tokyo. Diksha Dagar, another Indian golfer, finished with a total of 13-over 301.
New Zealander Lydia Ko secured the gold medal with a steady performance, becoming the first golfer in the modern era to win three Olympic medals. This victory also earned Ko a spot in the LPGA Hall of Fame.
