Resilience against a natural disaster like this will primarily consist of minimizing the loss of life. A system that is capable of predicting the onset of cyclone at least 24 hours in advance along with a robust mechanism to transport people to safe places can be instrumental in saving lives. The further course of action should constitute developing a mechanism to carry out quick repair work of the infrastructure.
