Global coordination required to combat climate change: EU Commissioner

The public money alone will not be enough to fill the gap and a significant aid from the financial sector would be required.

No one can do it without taking care of the environment because the change of the natural environment to the economy and this will have a serious impact on everyday life as well - he underlined.

EU Commissioner stated in a presentation given by the European Commission, that Europe is proud to be a leader in the global fight against climate change only two and a half years after the signing of the Paris agreement. The conference was in regards to promote climate change.

He pointed out that achieving the goals outlined shows serious shortcomings, which is caused by the lack of available resources. He pointed out that the public money alone will not be enough to fill the gap. He emphasized that significant aid from the financial sector is also required. We have to act together and quickly, otherwise we "run out of time," he said.

Michael Bloomberg, UN Special Envoy for Climate Change warned in his speech that the tensions between some Europe and the United States in some economic issues and the failure of earlier good cooperation might hamper the success of the fight against climate change.

He declared that only a result of coordination and material sacrifice could achieve the required outcome. No one can do it without taking care of the environment because the change of the natural environment to the economy and this will have a serious impact on everyday life as well - he underlined.

Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission, said in a speech he had to think differently about the future of Europe and the whole of the Earth, as well as about the economy and funding. New actors need to be involved in addressing the shortcomings that threaten the success of the goals of climate protection.
