Talks between Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump went well, the editor of a major Chinese state-run newspaper said on Twitter on Saturday.

"Based on information I received, talks between Xi and Trump went well and consensus was reached," Hu Xijin, the editor of the Global Times, published by the ruling Communist Party's official People's Daily, wrote, without giving details.
