Delhi receives light rain

Delhi received light showers in the early hours of Sunday.

The Safdarjung observatory, the recording for which is considered official for the city, recorded 4.3 mm rainfall, while Palam recorded 1.4 mm. Lodhi Road, Ayanagar and Ridge areas recorded 4 mm, 3 mm and 3.4 mm rainfall respectively.

According to meteorological department official, the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.

The weather office predicted a cold day with the maximum temperature likely to hover around 16 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature on Monday is likely to hover around 6 degrees Celsius, it said.

According to the MeT department official, the skies will remain cloudy with there being a possibility of light rains on Sunday evening and prevalence of cold wave conditions.
