Angolan firm Biocom all set to export 8,500 CBM ethanol to Europe

For the first time, Angola is set to commence exporting of Ethanol to Europe under a contract with a European company, which produces biofuels and ethanol.

Biocom, Angolan bioenergy firm has made a contract of exporting 8,500 cubic metres of ethanol, as mentioned in the statement. It (the statement) further announces the revenue of around USD 3.5 million.

The statement further stated that this is the first time that Angola is going to export ethanol, which is 'an initiative that aims to respond to the policies of the Support Programme for Production, Diversification of Exports and Replacement of Imports,' as reported by Macauhub.

Cacuso district-located Biocom currently has a planted area of 24,000 hectares of sugarcane. It made an agricultural campaign of 73,000 tonnes of sugarcane and 17,000 cubic metre of ethanol last year.
