Manila Mayor Isko Moreno has ordered the suspension of classes in all levels in public and private schools in the nation's capital for tomorrow, October 31, 2019, local media reported on Wednesday.

The classes are reportedly suspended to allow residents to prepare for All Saints' Day. Shorter workdays and holidays have also been announced in some government offices in Manila.

"There is a need to give ample time to travel to and from the different regions nationwide to celebrate with their families," Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said, according to ABS-CBN News. Manila's disaster, health, parking, and engineering offices, however, are still expected to "operate and continue to render the necessary services."
