Odisha teams engaged in Amphan restoration work in WB sent to 14-day mandatory quarantine on return

All members of the Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) and the National Disaster Relief Fund (NDRF) who had been on Cyclone Amphan restoration duty in West Bengal have been sent to quarantine, on their return to State as per COVID-19 protocol. The ODRAF personnel have been sent to 14-day mandatory quarantine as agreed earlier, said Special Relief Commissioner, Pradeep Jena.

Odisha government has sent 500 ODRAF and Fire Service personnel on May 24 to undertake restoration work after Cyclone Amphan in West Bengal, Along with that 8 teams of NDRF comprising 167 personnel were also moved by NDRF from 3rd Battalion, Mundali (Cuttack).

All of them have been put under 14 days institutional quarantine on their return, as per Government protocol and during the process, they will also undergo required medical tests for COVID-19. (ANI)
