Ebenezer Cobb Morley, Google doodle celebrates 187th birthday of father of Football Association

He was known for drafting thirteen rules famously known as “ Laws of the game”. He turned Brutal football into a beautiful game.

Google doodle celebrates the 187th birthday of Ebenezer Cobb Morley, father of the Football Association. He was responsible for the establishment of Football Association in 1862 playing for Barnes club. He played first ever match against Richmond in 1863.

He was known for drafting thirteen rules famously known as " Laws of the game". He was responsible for turning brutal football into a beautiful game.

He became FA's first secretary in 1863 and second president in 1867. He had served on Surrey County Council for Barnes (1903–1919) and was a Justice of the Peace.

Morley had no children and died on 20 November 1924. In football, the fraternity in FA Club is one of the most prestigious tournaments.
