Angola’s President João Lourenço authorises medicine purchase tender

President of Angola, João Lourenço has authorised the opening of a public tender for the acquisition of medicines, medical means and devices, under the National Electronic Procurement System platform, worth 8.8 billion kwanzas.

The move follows the urgent need to ensure continued hospital services, according to a press release from the President's Civil Affairs Office released on December 10. The initiative is also intended to improve medical assistance and monitoring procedure to patients.

The Health Minister is tasked with coordinating the public tender process, under the contractual procedure, until its conclusion.
