Dariga Nazarbayeva, the speaker of Kazakhstan's Senate, has no plans to run in the snap presidential election on June 9, Russia's TASS news agency and Kazakh news website Tengrinews.kz quoted her aide as saying on Tuesday.

Nazarbayeva, whose father Nursultan Nazarbayev ran the oil-rich Central Asian nation for almost thirty years before resigning as president last month, has been regarded by country-watchers as one of his potential successors. (Reporting by Olzhas Auyezov; Editing by Tom Balmforth)
