Police arrests 4 kgs of heroin from drug peddler in Punjab

The Punjab Police on Monday arrested an alleged drug peddler in Amritsar and recovered four kilograms of heroin.

Police Commissioner S S Srivastava said initially two kg of heroin was seized from the suspect when his car was intercepted at a police check post in the city.

During the interrogation following his arrest, Zorawar Singh, a resident of Amritsar revealed that another two kilograms of heroin was kept in his house, he said.

Zorawar Singh was deported from Canada and had recently started peddling drugs, he added.
