A fire at a Democratic Republic of Congo electoral commission warehouse destroyed voting materials for 19 of 24 polling districts in the capital Kinshasa, the commission said on Thursday.
Corneille Nangaa said that voting would nevertheless go ahead on Dec. 23. The poll is meant to choose a successor to President Joseph Kabila, who is due to step down after 18 years in power.
