More than 108,000 evacuated in Kazakhstan floods

Kazakhstan has evacuated more than 108,000 people since floods began in the Central Asian nation last month, its emergencies ministry said on Monday.

Almost 5,000 houses remain flooded, a ministry spokesman told a briefing, although nearly 12,000 people have returned to their homes.
