Man held for duping people to provide tickets for rituals at Venkateswara temple

A man was arrested here for allegedly cheating people of about Rs 20 lakh on the pretext of providing them tickets for performing various rituals at the famous Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala, police said Monday. Based on a complaint by four people, R K Reddy was arrested, they said.

Reddy has been accused of collecting the money from about 30 people in the name of providing tickets for performing 'abhishekams' at the temple and later cheating them by not doing so, police added.
