Railway board Chairman Vinod Kumar praises South Central railway for excellent staff

Railway Board Chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav visited the South Central Railway headquarters here Friday. Addressing a meeting with railway officials, he said excellent work culture prevailing in South Central Railway (SCR) has contributed significantly to the remarkable achievements of the zone and the credit goes to the officers and staff, a SCR release said. The initiatives taken by the SCR towards transformation have become a model to emulate for many other railways, he said. "Now it is time to concentrate on development of infrastructure for meeting the expectations of the passengers and nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is keenly concerned about a perceptible change in the progress of Indian Railways," he said. The Ministry of Railways is working towards policy directions for a visible change in the working of Railways, he added.
