The Special Branch of CID of Rajasthan Police has arrested a 36-year-old man for allegedly spying in the border areas for Pakistani agencies. The accused, identified as Nawab Khan, was hired by the Pakistani agencies for giving strategic information about the activities of the Indian Army in the border areas. The accused used to send information to the agency in coded language through WhatsApp or voice call.
"Khan, a resident of Jaisalmer's Ganga village was under the radar of intelligence agencies since last year after he was found be indulged in spying activities," said the police on Tuesday. "He was thoroughly interrogation at Jaipur after which it came to the fore that he used to transfer strategic information through WhatsApp and voice call using his mobile," informed the police.
According to police, Khan went to Pakistan last year on a pilgrimage along with his mother and father. There he met a Pakistan intelligence agency official, who trained him for spying activities.
