KVs outperform other schools in CBSE class 10 exam with 99.47 pct success rate

Government-run Kendriya Vidyalayas have outperformed others in the CBSE class 10 examination, results of which were announced Monday, with a pass percentage of 99.47 per cent. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs), also run by the government, have achieved a pass percentage of 98.57, while for private schools the number is 94.15.

Other government-run and aided schools in the country have achieved a pass percentage of 71.91 and 76.95, respectively. "Congratulations #KV for 99.47 % success & #JNV for 98.57% success rate in Class X Board even as the general result is 91.10 % . Government schools have fared better," Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar tweeted.

The schools run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) had outperformed others in class 12 examination also with a pass percentage of 98.54. The JNVs had recorded a pass percentage of 96.62 in class 12 examination, the results of which were announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) last Thursday.
