In 2014, BJP's Ramesh Chander had secured around 3.37 lakh votes and defeated Congress' Jagbir Singh Malik in a triangular contest. Here INLD's Padam Singh was polled around 2.64 lakhs votes which were very close to Congress' 2.69 Lakhs votes.

In the ensuing Lok Sabha election, Congress has fielded its heavyweight politician and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda. As INLD has split and is a weak contender, the Congress hopes to win this time.

Furthermore, BJP's Ramesh Kaushik lags behind in outreach to voters particularly in rural areas of the constituency but projecting himself as Modi's man.

Devdiscourse tries to feel the pulse of voters in this video story.
