Angola's environment minister, Paula Cristina Francisco Coelho has visited Yona National Park in the Namibe province to learn about projects implemented by the Global Environment Fund, UNDP, European Union and local government.

The minister, Coelho said that in this field trip she will assess the program of awareness and environmental campaign in the communities and the impact of climate change on coastal borders.

Yona National Park has a treaty signed with the Skeleton Park in Namibia, reason why it needs to be revitalized.

The Ministry of the Environment signed this year a protocol with the Ministry of Telecommunications for the implementation of radios and repeaters for the control and greater control of the species, as a way of combating poaching.

The Cabinet minister has already visited the environmental areas of the provinces of Cuando Cubango and Moxico, and next stop will be Malanje province.
