The New England Patriots continued life without Stephen Gostkowski on Tuesday by working out kicker Nick Rose, ESPN's Mike Reiss reported. The Patriots signed kickers Mike Nugent and Younghoe Koo last week when they put Gostkowski on injured reserve. Nugent joined the 53-man roster, and Koo was put on the team's practice squad.

Nugent missed his first extra-point attempt Sunday during New England's 33-7 victory at Washington. He then converted his other three PATs and field goals of 37 and 23 yards. Rose, 25, has kicked in 10 games, eight for the Redskins and two for the Chargers, all in 2017. He is 11 of 14 in field-goal tries and has made 23 of 26 PAT attempts.

This spring, he made all 14 field-goal tries for the San Antonio Commanders of the Alliance of American Football. The Patriots reportedly also worked out defensive back Brian Allen and defensive tackle Eddie Vanderdoes on Tuesday.
