The Cleveland Browns agreed with center JC Tretter on a three-year, $32.5 million extension with more than $23 million guaranteed on Thursday, according to multiple reports. Tretter was in the final year of his contract, a three-year, $16.75 million deal he signed in free agency in March 2017. He is now under contract through 2022, with an annual average ranking fifth among NFL centers.

Tretter, 28, has not missed a snap since joining the Browns, logging 2,685 across 24 games. In eight games this season, he has committed no penalties and allowed just half a sack, according to STATS, LLC. He has also helped clear the way for running back Nick Chubb, who ranks fourth in the NFL with 803 rushing yards. The sixth-year veteran joined the Browns from Green Bay, where he started 10 of 31 games from 2014-16. The Packers drafted Tretter in the fourth round in 2013.
