Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton told reporters Wednesday he is uncertain if he'll be able to return from his calf injury to play again this season. Hilton didn't rule out playing Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he also acknowledged his injury -- which worsened with a setback last Wednesday -- could take weeks to heal.

"I'm doing everything I can to get back out there," said Hilton, who has not practiced since the setback. "If I can, I can; if I can't, then I'm gonna have to shut it down. But I'm doing everything I can (to return)." Hilton last played a full game in Week 8 against the Denver Broncos, on Oct. 27. He returned for a Nov. 21 game at Houston but was limited to 25 snaps and has not played since.

Head coach Frank Reich said Monday he was "hopeful" that Hilton could return this season. The 30-year-old wideout has 35 receptions for 378 yards and five touchdowns in seven games this season, missing five to injury.

Hilton missed two games to injury last season but had previously played in 94 of a possible 96 games in his NFL career.
