The Trinamool Congress Chhatra Parishad (TMCP), the student wing of the party, will not allow outsiders to meddle into the affairs of any colleges, its president of West Bengal unit Trinankur Bhattacharya said Wednesday. "No outsider will enter the college and only students are kept in the union," Bhattacharya told a press meet after announcing 17 district committees and the state committee of TMCP here.

To a question about media reports of some leaders and members of TMCP accepting money during college admission earlier this year, Bhattacharya said, "We have launched an internal probe and we haven't received any proof of anyone receiving graft".

He added that strong action would be taken if such cases were proved. He said the Cooch Behar TMCP committee has been disbanded following infighting that dogged the unit since the panchayat polls leading to clashes and even deaths.

"We are examining the situation there and I will personally visit the district as part of my tour to North Bengal colleges and talk to everyone," he said. On the 17 new district committees and new state committee announced Wednesday, Bhattacharya said 80 per cent members of all the committees were students. The tenure of the committees will continue till August 30.
