“The BCCI sought permission from the ICC to wear the caps as part of a fundraising drive and in memory of fallen soldiers who have died, which was granted," an ICC spokesperson told ANI. The gesture was also aimed at encouraging fellow countrymen to donate to the National Defence Fund set up to take care of the education of dependents of the slain CRPF jawans.
