The Green Bay Packers will be without offensive lineman Cole Madison for the remainder of the season after the former fifth-round selection tore his ACL in practice Thursday. "My heart breaks for him," Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Friday.

Madison was selected in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Washington State, but sat out last season as he worked on his mental health. The guard made the 53-man roster this season but has not seen any game action. Without Madison, the Packers are down to eight healthy offensive linemen heading into a Sunday night matchup at San Francisco against the NFC West-leading 49ers.
