Broken-down LNG tanker in Egypt's Suez Canal re-floated - Leth

An LNG tanker that broke down in Egypt's Suez Canal on Wednesday has been re-floated, Leth shipping agency reported. Suez Canal tug boats had earlier been working to move the Grace Emilia tanker, two canal sources told Reuters, adding that shipping traffic was unaffected.

The incident happened in a southern section of the canal where a second channel allows for ships to bypass the blockage caused by an engine malfunction, one of the sources said.
