This facility will produce wheeled armoured platforms, provide local employment, and serve as an export hub for Africa, marking a significant milestone for Indian defence manufacturing overseas.

Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) announced a strategic partnership with Morocco's Royal Armed Forces on Monday, ushering in Morocco's first large defence manufacturing plant in Casablanca. The collaboration will produce wheeled armoured platforms, marking India's first defence manufacturing initiative outside its borders.
The local facility, a 100% subsidiary of TASL, will be operational within the next 12 months to fulfill a significant quantity of orders for the Royal Moroccan Army. It also aims to become an export hub for other African nations. The plant will generate employment and value addition locally and will adhere to international standards.
Sukaran Singh, CEO and Managing Director of TASL, expressed pride in the partnership, highlighting its strategic importance and the potential to launch additional ventures across Africa. Morocco's Defence Minister Abdeltif Loudyi lauded the move as a strategic step towards national self-reliance in defence.
