Swiss-Dutch firm dsm-firmenich has announced plans to fortify its presence in India with a €70 million investment, setting the stage for a significant boost in the local seasoning industry. The initiative includes establishing a new facility in Gujarat and expanding an existing plant in Kerala.
In a statement, dsm-firmenich revealed its newly-expanded seasoning plant in Kerala, while also laying the foundation for another in Gujarat's Vadodara district. Both projects emphasize scalability and flavor innovation, with the Gujarat plant producing sweet and savory flavors via advanced methods.
The Kerala facility, set to enhance production capacity by 15,000 metric tonnes, will serve as a global hub for ethylene oxide-free seasonings. By expanding its operational footprint across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, dsm-firmenich aims to respond strategically to evolving consumer demands and market growth.
