EKA Mobility Partners with Kerchanshe Trading for Electric Vehicle Expansion in East Africa

EKA Mobility, a leading electric commercial vehicle manufacturer, has signed an agreement with Ethiopia's Kerchanshe Trading PLC to expand its operations in East Africa, focusing on electric mobility solutions.
The partnership involves setting up a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) assembly plant for EKA vehicles in Ethiopia, alongside launching distribution and service channels across the region. This initiative aims to introduce a range of electric vehicles designed to cater to diverse regional demands.
EKA Mobility's Founder and Chairman, Sudhir Mehta, highlighted Ethiopia's growing industrial base and its commitment to clean energy as pivotal reasons for the collaboration. Meanwhile, Israel Degefa, CEO and President of Kerchanshe Group, emphasized the partnership's role in creating a sustainable and innovative electric mobility ecosystem in East Africa.
