According to MMRCL, technical integration for the fare concession is nearing completion, with the final testing phase currently underway. However, there has been criticism from advocates like journalist-activist Deepak Kaitike, who has voiced concerns over the delay in implementing these concessions.

Kaitike expressed his frustration on social media, highlighting issues such as non-functional lifts on the Aqua Line, which hinder accessibility for wheelchair users. The fully underground corridor connects key areas of Mumbai, yet remains challenging for persons with disabilities due to ongoing technical and infrastructural shortcomings.
