In a groundbreaking move, Almighty Motion Picture has secured the adaptation rights to the book Mission Saudi. Authored by former DGP Aloke Lal and Maanas Lal, the book uncovers India's first extradition of a rape accused, a landmark case led by IPS Officer Merin Joseph.
The story centers on Pooja, a ninth-grade student from Kerala whose brutal assault led her attacker to flee to Saudi Arabia. Many years later, Joseph reignited the case, surmounting bureaucratic challenges and international legal complexities to ensure justice was served.
Authors Aloke Lal and Maanas Lal expressed gratitude for bringing this pivotal narrative to the screen, while Co-Founder of Almighty Motion Picture, Prabhleen Sandhu, emphasized the responsibility and commitment to truthfully portray this historic legal milestone.
