India and US Join Forces to Investigate Air India Crash
India is dispatching investigators to the US to analyze data with the NTSB regarding the Air India crash in June. They aim to dissect findings from the plane's recorders. A meeting at the NTSB will involve representatives from Boeing and other stakeholders. The crash resulted in numerous fatalities.
India is deploying a team of investigators to the United States next week to scrutinize data alongside the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), Bloomberg News disclosed on Saturday. This is in connection with the tragic Air India flight crash that claimed multiple lives in June.
The Indian investigators intend to exchange insights based on information extracted from the aircraft’s cockpit voice and flight data recorders. This collaborative effort aims to comprehensively understand the circumstances surrounding the crash, as reported by sources familiar with the situation. Notably, Reuters has been unable to independently confirm this report.
This meeting, scheduled to take place at the NTSB's headquarters in Washington D.C., is expected to include representatives from Boeing and other affiliates. While Boeing has deferred comments to the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), other involved parties, including India’s Civil Aviation Ministry and the AAIB, have yet to respond to Reuters' inquiries.
