SRM University-AP has signed a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JK Srivastava Hynfra P.S.A. Ltd, marking a strategic alignment to boost green hydrogen research in Andhra Pradesh. This partnership supports the state's vision to emerge as India's Green Hydrogen Hub by 2030.
Central to this initiative is the creation of a Centre of Excellence in Hydrogen Technologies, which will foster research, education, and innovation in green hydrogen technologies. The collaboration also aims to develop hydrogen storage and transportation solutions, hydrogen-powered transportation, and electrolyser manufacturing capacity, driving down costs and pushing India's clean energy transition.
The collaboration with JK Srivastava Group, which includes a significant ₹35,000 crore investment for a green ammonia industry, is expected to create over 10,000 jobs. This initiative underscores Andhra Pradesh's broad commitment to sustainable energy and net-zero emissions, reinforcing its global leadership in the green hydrogen sector.
